Cheetahs are usually daytime hunters, but the speedy big cats will shift their activity toward dawn and dusk hours during warmer weather, a new study finds. While cheetahs only eat fresh meat, lions and leopards will sometimes opportunistically scavenge from smaller predators. But the new study found that on the hottest days, when maximum daily temperatures soared to nearly 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit), cheetahs became more nocturnal — increasing their overlapping hunting hours with rival big cats by 16%. In addition to competition with lions and leopards, cheetahs already face severe pressure from habitat fragmentation and conflict with humans. The fastest land animal, cheetahs are the rarest big cat in Africa, with fewer than 7,000 left in the wild.

BERD anunță că își propune să promoveze continuarea activității portului și să atragă investitori internaționali. Angajamentul BERD a continuat cu o serie de restructurări financiare pentru a ajuta proiectul să depășească o serie de dificultăți, inclusiv retragerea investitorilor inițiali. Din 2014, operatorul portului Giurgiulești, cunoscut acum ca Danube Logistics SRL, compania sa mamă olandeză și, indirect, BERD au fost supuse diferitor acțiuni. Respectiv, la 7 mai 2021, Banca a devenit singurul proprietar legal efectiv al operatorului portului Giurgiulești „pentru a asigura activitatea portului și pentru a proteja interesele sale financiare”, se spune în comunicat.

Potrivit expertului, evenimentele care s-au derulat și se derulează în ultimii ani, au creat toate circumstanțele prin care R. Moldova riscă să fie obligată să achite cel puțin 52 de milioane de euro investitorului inițial al Portului. În 2004, autoritățile RM au întreprins elemente importante de protecție a Portului Giurgiulești în acordul de investiții încheiat de Guvernul Republicii Moldova și ”Azpetrol” SRL, ”Azertrans” SRL, ”Azpetrol Refinery” SRL. Prin acest Acord Guvernul a stipulat expres că nici un fel de tranzacții cu acțiunile Portului Giurgiulești nu pot avea loc fără permisiunea prealabilă a Guvernului. Preluarea reală a Portului de Thomas MoserÎn 2010, prin mai multe inginerii financiare, persoana de încredere a investitorului, prea portul și devine proprietarul lui real contra sumei de 344 USD. Obiecte de valoare în sumă de zeci de milioane de euro sunt tranzacționate prin zone off-shore cu preţ de câteva sute de EURO.
